Il sito descrive una breve storia di Salemi e di alcuni musei della città visitati da alcune classi dell’ ITIS “Cannizzaro” di Catania
La scelta della Visita alla città di Salemi e dei relativi musei è scaturita dall’ esigenza di ricordare che :
- Salemi è stata la prima capitale d’Italia (per un giorno)
- è la capitale provvisoria del Tibet
- è una città testimone della convivenza pacifica di tre religioni monoteiste: cristiana, ebraica e musulmana
- ospita il Museo del Risorgimento
- è città del Museo della mafia: la storia degli ultimi 150 anni di mafia.
- per riflettere sulle istallazioni delle pale eoliche
- per partecipare alla festa dei pani nella settimana di San Giuseppe (17-24 marzo)
- perché è una città distrutta dal terremoto del 1968
- perché può essere l’ esempio di rinascita basata sulla cultura
INTRODUCTION
The website describes a short history of the town of Salemi and of some of its museums which were visited by some classes from I.T.I.S. Cannizzaro, Catania.
The choice to visit Salemi was due to several reasons:
1.First of all, Salemi was the first capital of Italy (even if only for one day)
2.Secondly, it is the provisional capital of Tibet
3.It is also a living evidence of the peaceful coexistence of the three monotheistic religions (Christianity, Judaism and Islamism)
4.It hosts the museum of the Resurgence
5.It hosts the museum of the Mafia, which sums up the latest 150 years of Mafia Moreover, the visit was useful to:
6.reflect on the installation of the wind turbines
7.participate to the festival of bread on St. Joseph’s week (17-24 March)
8.observe the damages produced by the terrible earthquake in 1968
9.see how culture can foster the rebirth of a town
